This is Lily's journal of her trip to Japan. All of it is in her own words, but formatted by her dad (whom she refers to in her writings as 'her father') It is written sometimes voluntarily and sometimes with a bit of arm twisting by her parents. We hope you enjoy reading it!

Hello Lily, I am the co-worker that GiGi spoke about in a previous blog. GiGi told me about your blog site one evening when we were working together. After reading your letters I have a better understanding about what life is like in Japan. What a wonderful experience you have had! I enjoyed reading about all your travels in Japan especially your train ride and visits to the Japanese gardens. I have never before seen the yellow balls that are used as swings. When I read your blog I feel that I am in Japan. Although you missed your friends when you were gone, what a great time you will have sharing your experiences with them when you return home. Thank you for sharing them with me! There's no place like home! Karen Ness
(I could not post my comment directly on your blog site.) Diane, GiGi introduced me to Lily's and your blogs one evening when we were working together. You and Lily have had a great adventure, your pictures (especially the sewer cover) and comments were great. The walrus is priceless! I too appreciate all thing Japanese... except the food. Thank you for sharing your adventure! Karen Ness
